Land Logic Timber (LLT) was founded in 2003 by Rupert Furneaux. After training and working as a tree surgeon since 1995, Rupert decided to further his education by completing a Forestry degree at the National School of Forestry in Penrith, Cumbria.

LLT now in its sixth year, prides itself on supplying high quality sawn timber from sustainably managed woodlands in the local area. We can generally satisfy our timber requirements within a forty mile radius of our yard in Ditcheat, Shepton Mallet. We source our round timber from estates such as the Duke of Somerset, Stourhead Western Estate, Longleat and private land owners.  The majority our timber comes from FSC accredited woodlands. If the timber is not FSC accredited then it will still come from woodlands managed to strict Forestry Commission guidelines.  We specialise in supplying sawn and round timber to people that want to know where their timber has come from, and who believe in promoting and supporting local industry. LLT buy round timber either road side or standing including species such as Douglas fir, oak, larch, western red cedar, ash and other one off larger trees such as giant sequoia.

As you will see from our timber products page we can supply most timbers for someone wanting to undertake their own self build project whether that is a small yurt or a two story house.
